Ryan Visited Santa at East Town

Ryan went to East Town Mall with Melissa and I, and we were shocked to find the one, the only, Santa Claus! Can you believe that with his busy schedule around this time of year, he still found time to visit us in GREEN BAY WISCONSIN?!?!? WOW!

Click on the photo to see more 2006 Christmas photos, which will be uploaded as I take them.

Ryan with Santa Claus

Reorganizing, plowing, playing, healing and more!

It's been a while since I posted anything, and yes, I know I say that all the time.  I've been up to a lot of great stuff, so I'll just catch up with everything now.

  • I've been catching up on a lot of stuff lately.  I've had time to go through all my receipts, bills, etc.  I'm hoping to actually be ready for tax time this year!
  • I've been trying to go through all the photos that I've taken and get them organized.  I finally organized all the photos that I got from Carly's wedding.
  • I finally got to use my ATV plow.  It worked great.  It took a little bit of practice to figure out the pattern to use, but I eventually worked it out.  The ATV can push pretty much any amount of snow you can put in front of it.  I piled all the snow up in one pile, which has the side effect of having some snow left even though it's been warm for a few days.  The memory will live on!  Seriously though, I'll try to get some photos and/or a video and post them.  That will give you a better idea of what it can do.
  • Maxine's birthday was yesterday and we went to Red Lobster.  It was delicious, but expensive as usual.  We had a good time, and we ate cake and ice cream at her place.  The ice cream was fudge, and it was delicious.  We got her a neck massager, which I could really use right now.
  • I've gone pro on Wii bowling.  My skill points passed 1000, so I get a special ball covered in diamond shapes.  Also, every time it shows my name, it has the word "pro" next to it.
  • Melissa and Ryan have a cold.  That sucks.
  • Speaking of sucking, I ordered 2 vacuum cleaners.  Walmart has all of the worst rated vacuums according to consumer reports, and Target wasn't much better.  I decided to order online, and got a bagless vac that was well rated by consumer reports.  They had a special promo going on, so I was able to get 2 of them for $130.  I couldn't pass up that deal, and we can use one on each story of the house.  If one dies, we'll have a backup available.
  • I've been pretty busy at work, but I have the week of christmas off, so I'm looking forward to that.  Hopefully I get lots of games for my Wii so that I can forget about work for a while.
  • My mom is doing very well.  She's allowed to put weight on her left leg unless she feels pain.  She's able to do a lot more on her own.  She still has a long time to heal, but she's definitely progressing well.
