Google Earth

Today Google came out with a desktop application that is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. It lets you fly around the earth and look at satellite imagery. Not only that, but for some cities such as New York, New Orleans and Tokyo, you can actually view 3d representations of the buildings. That means that you can fly around in a 3d world touring big cities. I also found the Pyramids in Egypt and Niagra Falls. You can also save all your favorite destinations and take a guided tour of the world.

If you computer has a good enough video card, the graphics are amazing. You also need a fast connection since the satellite images are downloaded from the Internet. This application has become so popular that you can no longer download it from Google. I have temporarily downloaded it so that you can try it out if you like.

Google’s permanent home for it is here: http://desktop.google.com/download/earth/index.html

I’m also mirroring the file here: http://www.SuperJason.com/Public-Downloads/GoogleEarth.exe

New photos of EVERYTHING!

I uploaded a ton of new photos of Ryan, Lizzy, Tabitha, Adam & Jeni’s wedding, and our new fence. Once again, I’m sorry for the lack of posts. I’m working on some major projects right now, and I’m dedicating a substantial amount of time to them.  That includes Ryan!

I’ve launched version 1.0 of SimpleTracking.com, and I’m glad to report that it’s been exceeding my expectations.  We are currently making enough money off of advertising to cover our hosting fees. Version 2.0 will include some advanced features that we will be offering at a reasonable price. Stay tuned for that!
